Curtis Field serves as Brady's municipal airport. It is located approximately 3 miles north of the city on Highway 377 North going out of the city toward Brownwood.  The  airport was renovated as part of a statewide grant issued by the Texas Department of Transportation in 1999. The runway and aprons/taxiway were resurfaced and the parking and refueling area expanded.

Brady is fortunate to have Curtis Field, a refurbished military facility.  The two runways are 4000 feet long and can accommodate both propeller and jet aircraft, including the largest corporate jets.  The airport is operational both day and night.  The traffic count is low enough that radio traffic control is not required.  Piston and jet fuel is available as well as hanger capability for storm protection.

As a matter of interest.  General Chuck Yeager, the first man to break the sound barrier, took his primary training here.
